When I try to access my firefox preferences (Edit>Preferences), the window opens, but it has no content. Has anyone else seen this?? AFAICT, with 3.6 it works fine.
i have, although i'll be surprised if what caused it for me is the same thing that's causing it for you now what i had done was to install opensuse 11.2 (32-bit) from cd because i wasn't 100% sure my pc was 64-bit and i had been running 32-bit software on it for years and it worked of course, as i upgraded packages and installed things from repositories (which have no architecture specification) whatever automated routine kicks in to tell yast what to install went ahead and installed 64-bit packages because they work too -- i wound up with a hopeless mess of 32 and 64-bit software, and firefox was one of the first apps i ran across that showed problems -- the empty preferences window was one of its symptoms -- also it had a habit of freezing after visiting one or two sites the closest i came to getting firefox to work under this borked install was when i downloaded the zip file from mozilla and extracted it to my home directoy, and put a symlink to it in my ~/bin path but things still were problematic for me until i downloaded and burned the 64-bit 11.2 installer iso, re-installed, and i was able to move on to the next set of problems hth, sc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
