No, because the web pages storing the list archive do not store the
headers, only the body text of the emails.

That's the point.

Well, he *implied* a broken MUA/email-client, but. Our list archives
obscure the posters email address in the attribution as per your example,
so there's still no reason not to provide a "source" for your posting.

Our archive is not the only one.
