Does anyone have any experience with this machine, or the specifications [specifically the Nvidia card, which seems very ne I have an HP dv5t and my wife an HP xdh16 (x16t). My machine is about 1 1/2 yrs old and hers is about six months old. Mine has Intel graphics, hda intel sound chip and intel 5100 wifi adapter. Hers has intel core 2 duo processor, Nvidia GeForce GT 130M, hda intel audio, and intel 5300 wifi adapter. Both wifi adapters and sound cards work with the newer kernels and alsa driver. I had to get a newer kernel for my machine, my wife's worked out of the box (with the proprietary firmware). My intel graphics worked out of the box with OS 11.0 and her Nvidia card worked after I added the nvidia repo and downloaded the proprietary driver. Her microphone only worked after I did quite a bit of googling and found the settings for the particular audio chip. Her machine has a problem with suspend/hibernate which crashes x which I have not figured out yet, otherwise very happy with both machines. I have been buying only hp laptops (6 in total) since 1998 and I am fairly happy with the ease of installation and configuration with various flavors of Suse and the durability of the machines. It has gotten easier and easier to set up the hardware with each new version of Suse. !1.2 on my wife's machine was the easiest and quickest to date. Sounds like the machine you are looking at has a higher end/newer graphics card, I have no knowledge about it. Good luck with your purchase. Gustav
