Like zypper but I am a little in sorrow after receiving the information, "164 packages to downgrade." For the moment I have left my installation unchanged, especially after Yast told me that everything was fine after looking into update all installed packages. Can somebody tell me if I should downgrade 164 packages?

This happens when a repo is not available by any reasons. Have a look what packages will be downgraded, and you will know what repo is missing.
For the momet do a zypper up , instead off zypper dup

Another reason can be, that you have the KDE4 Factory repo includet. Sombody on the german mailing List just reported, that the version numbers of all KDE4 Factory Packages where set down.
His example is
Installierte Version ist 4.4.0-150.6 Verfügbare Version ist 4.4.0-2.1
Right now there is no answer on his question whats up.

<Sigh> Many thanks for this information. Just as well I ignored what zypper dup had to show and ran zypper up instead. BC -- She was only a whisky maker but I loved her still. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
