Hi all!
I just had a odd thing happen. I let Skype run all the time my system is on. About an hour ago, out of the blue a girl in Canada started a chat with me. I know that it was a scammer, but I like to play with them. So i chated back. Anyway she asked me to add her to my contact list. I did and she suddenly disconnected.
My question is: is there any thing that they can do to my system by being on my Skype contact list?
Thanks, JIM in Germany
They can see when you are on-line, and start sending you spam. There may be some other security hole they are trying to exploit which would likely be windows specific. They can also see your profile, which may or may not be useful to them. Its not worth the risk for someone who pretends to be a girl, but is probably a hacker. I would remove her and block her. I block and report two or three of these a week. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
