(Why aren't the more modern HTML-format lines allowed in this - or similar - forum but insist on text-only messages which only cause confusion at times?)
Everything is allowed! No limits! What we've seen was very likely caused by the text editor in use.
No-ope! :-) :-)

Hi, this is the mlmmj program managing the mailinglist
opensuse@opensuse.org
I'm sorry to inform you that your message could not be delivered to the list. Your mail was rejected because it matched a rule set up by the list administrator.
This list does not allow:
* HTML mails * Attachments * Mails from other lists
Sorry, my intention was to say: there are no limits on the length of a line.
Is OK :-) . The only trouble is that the real oldies and adherents to the "old, old, school" insist that text messages get wrapped at the 72nd column - otherwise the oldies go into a state of apoplexy. (Shall NEVER forget when, back in ~1987, I installed a 1200 baud modem on the BBS I was running. Well! One user complained vehemently that the speed was just TOO FAST and that he now could not keep up with reading what was being displayed on his monitor screen!)
