I know that OpenSUSE 11.2 will only be available in 1 hour, but prior to any distribution upgrade I need to know whether some of you have tested VMWare Workstation 6.02 on 11.2 during RC testing or using the GM build.
It is mandatory for me to run the virtual machine under VMWare 6.02, and I won't upgrade to 11.2 (from 10.3) unless I am sure that it will run OK.
If you know that it works under 11.1, I may chose to upgrade to 11.1 instead, since 10.3 is starting to get old... and I think I will love to use a better package management...
Thank you for your input
I think it will not work, because VMware 6.0.x cannot be compiled on new kernels AFAIK. But VMware 7.0 should work. (maybe some late update for VMware 6 may work too)

1. I'm running vmware workstation 6.5.3 under opensuse 11.1 without problems. I just got wmware workstation 7.0 and I have not been able to install it under opensuse 11.1 2. Vmware 6.5.3 Host opensuse 11.1 Guest opensuse 11.2 RC2 install ok including tools. 3. I have not tried to install vmware workstation under RC2 host so this does not answer your question :( 3. This weekend I will install opensuse 11.2 and see what happens with vmware 7.0. I will post it. -=terry=- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
