Basically the latest official update kernel (2.6.27.29) kills my sound.
Same here. Linux 2.6.27.29-0.1-pae i686.
Since sound is not critical to my work or pleasure, I'll wait, at least for a while, hoping a future update will fix it.
I use 2.6.31-44 from openSUSE and sound is just fine... maybe it depens on the sound chip you use, I use a Creative Labs PCI card with the module snd-ca0106. So I would not generally say newer kernels breaks sound. Regards Malte -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
