Always. It hangs forever and can only be killed by SIGKILL or SIGUSR1. So I turned off autosave. It still gets stuck on something long enough to overflow the keyboard buffer and then I have to wait for it to catch up with me. Two vastly different machines, OpenSuSE10.3 and 11.0, KDE3.5, latest Ooo3.1 builds. It looks like this hang problem was introduced in that latest build because it didn't happen before and it wasn't so slow before, either. At least they stopped disabling the UIM and keeping me from entering non-USASCII text but maybe that will be "fixed" again with the next update. Again.
