I just installed the ralink firmware (earlier email that had the webpin search for the same) & re-booted (probably not necessary) IIRC the openSUSE 11/11.1 install DVD has the 'ralink' drivers (do a search for 'firmware' from Yast > Software Management)
Further config depends on the DE you use, but is pretty intuitive in either (am assuming you use openSUSE 11/11.1 as those are the only ones I have experience with). However in either of GNOME or KDE, the Network Manager auto-detected the Wireless Adapter once it was inserted into the USB port (try the ones behind, if the front ones don't work, for a desktop PC). There is a pop-up notification or if there isn't, (further steps are for the GNOME desktop) ... right-click on the NetworkManager applet/add the applet [1] to panel if you haven't (_before this, ensure that you have set up networking using 'Network Manager' and not the 'traditional method using ifup' from Yast_ ). There should be a Wireless Tab w/ an [Edit] button, where you need to enter your SSID (Network Name), etc, the rest is self-explanatory on that tab. You will need to check the security level that you have set your Wireless Router with & use that in the [Security] tab.
It would also help to go through these bookmarked threads at openSUSE Forums:

I am still getting nowhere :-(
It would help to know your hardware & openSUSE configs and desktop, also what kernel. Try and start over based on the openSUSE Forum links above. It's surprising no one else on this list has come forth w/ a suggestion.
What kernel should I be running ?
Worked for me w/ kernel-2.6.27.19-pae, tho' I don't think kernel version matters as along as you have the proper firmware installed.
Is there a better USB Wifi dongle for Linux ?
I don't know, since this works with all Linux I have tried so far (openSUSE 11, Fedora 10, Ubuntu 9.04). This link [2] to the openSUSE HCL for USB Wirlless Adapters mentions that your model /does/ work w/ openSUSE 9.2 & above, so probably needs some tweaking /configuration rather than a new card.
