[opensuse] Kile 2.0.83 and Abbreviations tab

I have just downloaded Kile 2.0.83 for KDE 4.2 (actually the Kile version displayed by the splash screen is Kile 2.1 beta). I am impressed with the new IDE, which is much more cleaner now and more useful. A new feature that I have noticed is the presence of an Abbreviations tag, displayed when a tex file is opened. I am interested about this feature and how it can be used.
