Hello SuSE people,
On my old 64 bit 10.3 OS version something strange has happened. Won't boot with a kernel panic. The message is "bin/run-init /sbin/init Permission denied" and then I get a kernel panic. Googled it to no avail. Why? What could have happened to cause this?

Bob,
Looks like something didn't go right with your last kernel update when the kernel images were built. First thing I would try would be a simple re-install of the latest kernel. If no joy, then I would install the most recent working kernel and see if that fixed it. Then I would go from there.
Thanks for replying David. I don't think that this happened from a kernel update. Don't recall having done one, unless somehow, somewhere, an update to another OS version got mixed in to the 10.3 version. Really doubt that something like that could happen. (enlighten me) Anyway, don't know how I could make any changes if I can't get the OS up and running. Any more ideas or suggestions?
