You have plenty of hardware, I would try two things (1) updating to kde 4.3. and (2) if you are unsure about your xorg.conf config, just move your existing xorg to a temporary location and log out and back in. All my intel video cards start fine without an xorg.conf simply using default setting (compiz runs fine that way as well). -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
