You need to install the yast2-registration package. Then you're able to call
yes I have thix one now (and I looked in the config menu of yast software install, but before installing registration, so I didn't see anything
yast2 online_update_configuration
This YaST module does not require a working x.org configuration. The module works well in curses mode.
works also with yast2 in ssh -X mode
Based on your configuration decision the module installs
/etc/cron.{daily,weekly,monthly}/opensuse.org-online_update
the module seems buggy, as it don't find any update repository when there is one, even after calling the registration odule (and adding a second one) - including some weird message like no more gcc you will break your system :-( with yast2 I have only weekly option, but with yast (ncurse) I have the three ones (but still no repository) seems like I'm worth a bugzilla entry :-) but the cron job is there
This file is a shell scrip which calls /usr/bin/zypper
/etc/sysconfig/automatic_online_update allows you to manipulate the used defaults.
I can do this, thanks, but include only: AOU_ENABLE_CRONJOB="true" AOU_SKIP_INTERACTIVE_PATCHES="true" jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
