What filesystem type are you trying to mount? I've had issues with nfs mounts of 32-bit VFAT partitions in 11.1.
In this case, reiserfs, encripted (and external, via USB). There is another one non encripted, but it wasn't mounted at the time I did the this test. I don't think the type is related, though.
