cpufreq-set from cpufrequtils is what I use to boost my cpu when it strangely decides to run at 1G instead of 2,2G like it is supposed to. HTH ne...

- just tried "cpufreq-set -d 1.6GHz" - this WORKED! My DELL is back to normal high speed, it simply feels and shows :-)
Now, I'd like to keep it that way...what would be the best approach?
