Hi listmates,
- chock, chock... - I fire up my openSuse11.1 this morning and my standard no frills green desktop is gone! I get a brand new blue one with circles and stuff, but ALL my icons are gone, my menu is standard, my favorites are gone.
I didn't do anything, I promise you...
What can I do (anything to get it back...)
Best regards, Verner
I now remember...just before the weekend, my disk ran full. When I discoved this (I was copying 1000s pics down to my disk), I quickly deleted the 10G+ bytes and all was good.
- or so it looked...
This incident caused (?) KDE4 to default back to something standard. I right-clicked on the desktop and chose setup of appearance - this brought back my icons,- not the colours though. Don't care too much about that.
I then deleted the extra clock(s) that had appeared in the status bar and I re-activated my missing widgets.
Case closed :-)
Best regards, Verner
Hi, I had this problem twice, so I can somehow confirm, that the cause of the problem is the full disk, what resets plasmarc, even if you make space before restart. I can't understand how, and at the moment I don't have a suitable test system. I'll get back to this problem sometime, 'cause it is very weird. ATM I don't have enough information to fill a bug report. If anyone has any idea about debugging, please tell it!
