Going through the logs and found that a few days ago I started getting these errors from CIFS;

Haven't made any changes on the target or source machines. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Please follow the "Samba bug reporting and advanced debugging information" section of http://en.openSUSE.org/Samba The Bugs/Samba section include a "Debugging cifs vfs client" sub section.
From your initial mail we don't know which openSUSE version nor which Linux kernel CIFS client you're using.
