[opensuse] strange Thunderbird file attachment issue

Hello listamates, I have the following problem. I have Acrobat Reader 8 set up as my default reader for PDF's. Thunderbird is my default email client, and I am running KDE3.5 under OpenSUSE 10.3. Acroreader allows you to email files right from within by using File -> Attach To Email. This way you can send somebody the file you are reading. If you use the feature within KMail it seems to work fine. If you try to use it with Thunderbird, the initial message gets created but the actual file never gets attached to it for some bizarre reason. Any idea why this would be? Thanks.
