My boot menu does not appear in graphic mode anymore. Now it is only a black and white text mode menu. I have the following packages installed: gfxboot-4.1.19-2.1 gfxboot-branding-upstream-4.1.19-2.1
And there is a file named "message" in /boot.
Is there anything else I should check?
I've not infrequently seen an upgrade cause the 'gfxmenu (hd0,7)/boot/message' (or whatever it's supposed to be) line in menu.lst inappropriately changed to (hd0,0). Check yours against menu.lst.old to see if it happened to you.
Mine says (0,0) indeed, but my / partition is /dev/sda1, so I guess it is right... The menu.lst.old file has an identical entry, but the file have been altered sometimes by yast lately because of other changes. I think I don't have an old copy of when it was working :( Thanks, Marcelo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
