I've added the build service samba repo to my config, and of course it doesn't show any updates when executing 'zypper lu', because it's not the same vendor as the base system..
Please modify the priority of the samba repo you added.[1]
Yes, this needs documentation at http://en.openSUSE.org/Samba or better in general.
[1] I expect there is a Samba from the openSUSE 11.1 update channel which is preferred.

Thanks Lars, But what priority do I need to set it to? Currently it's the lowest number in the list.. # | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh | Priority | Type --+-----------------------+-----------------------+---------+---------+----------+------- 1 | Samba_Stable_1 | Samba Stable | Yes | Yes | 98 | rpm-md 2 | openSUSE 11.1-0 | openSUSE 11.1-0 | No | No | 99 | yast2 3 | openSUSE-11.1-Updates | openSUSE-11.1-Updates | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md Also, the Samba Stable version usually serves good, and it's more a bit of experiment than a production server.. I normally go with only the distribution and update repos for machines at production level. ;-) Anders. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
