Please, why on earth are you people trying that hard? He asked how he could set different wallpapers for each virtual desktop and that he was running KDE 4.1. In KDE3 it is the same way as in 11.0 btw. I gave him the answer: It is not possible with KDE4.1, unless you use activities. I won't bother quoting myself.
And what exactly is an activity and how do you use it? I have absolutely no idea what that is either, nor would I have a clue how to find it. Sure, a google search might help, but why not just show us HOW to find it if you are going to reply anyway. The biggest reason newbies don't stay with Linux is smart@ss replies that discourage them. For those who have used WinDoZe forever, they need a little more hand holding than that, so my point stands. Short, snippy replies that explain nothing are pointless.
And please stop sending private messages that spam my inbox, this is a mailinglist and answers should go only to the mailinglist.
gmail defaults to your email address and the cc's to the list. I do TRY to make sure that I don't send a reply to the OP, and generally don't even notice if someone sends to me AND the list because gmail only shows me 1 copy. So sorry I am not perfect. If you know a way to change that, then enlighten me, because I haven't found a way. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
