I understand. Unfortunately, sometimes we are stuck with what comes in a
system. My FPS using glxgears is around 2650-2700. I have 3d enabled with the
work around previously described. Now with that said, I should be in the 4-6K
range so there is something within the last few released drivers that doesn't
render well.

On a positive note, ATI is now at least releasing updates monthly so with a
little bit of luck and having our fingers crossed, it will be addressed very
soon.
