that's the problem. i can't login to webmin anymore. my webmin was set for one user only, and not root user.
See /etc/webmin/miniserv.users . In my environment, in which root user can login to webmin, it is described as below:
root:x:0:::::::0:0
I don't know exactly this will work or not, but, why don't you add the line to your miniserv.users and restart webmin ?
In addition, you may need webmin.acl in /etc/webmin directory. Mine is like this(in 1 line): root: acl adsl-client apache at backup-config bacula-backup bandwidth bind8 burner cfengine change-user cluster-c opy cluster-cron cluster-passwd cluster-shell cluster-software cluster-useradmin cluster-usermin cluster-webmin c pan cron custom dfsadmin dhcpd dnsadmin dovecot exim exports fdisk fetchmail file filter firewall frox fsdump gru b heartbeat htaccess-htpasswd idmapd inetd init inittab ipfilter ipfw ipsec krb5 ldap-client ldap-server ldap-use radmin lilo logrotate lpadmin lvm mailboxes mailcap majordomo man mon mount mysql net nis openslp pam pap passwd phpini postfix postgresql ppp-client pptp-client pptp-server proc procmail proftpd pserver qmailadmin quota raid samba sarg sendmail servers shell shorewall smart-status smf software spam squid sshd status stunnel syslog-ng sy slog tcpwrappers telnet time tunnel updown useradmin usermin vgetty webalizer webmin webminlog wuftpd xinetd Best, - -- _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/_/ Satoru Matsumoto - openSUSE Member - Japan _/_/ _/_/ Marketing & Weekly News Team _/_/ _/_/ mail: helios_reds@gmx.net / irc: HeliosReds _/_/ _/_/ http://blog.geeko.jp/author/heliosreds _/_/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAklq9VoACgkQXnHIfHE6+z0JkQCdFHALqWbmoSLGsqobI9hie3q1 QDsAn3hFOtnvJjvfJCfdkUMn8akPrJp/ =6b9B -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
