Dear listmembers,
currently I am trying to force openSUSE 11.1 to cooperate again correctly with SCSI-scanners.

Therefore my call:
whoever is willing and whoever owns a SCSI scanner / is using a SCSI scanner (even better if you own different ones) please:

lshal > out

...
I have a firewire-scanner that's using scsi-emulation (it's installed as /dev/sg...). I had to make a udev-rule to have permissions right. Maybe that's your problem also ?
I could post that rule if anyone is interested.
I'll see what lshal gives (scanner is at home).
