Why would creating a new partition kill the MBR?
The MBR sits in the same physical sector as the partition table. A bad program could destroy one while writing the other. Maybe it wrote a default MBR code.

1. what did you use as boot manager grub? 2. how did you create new partitions? what program did you use? 3. just boot from a live cd # fdisk -l and post it. -=terry=- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
