Well which ever one it is, I want to stop it, I guess I learned my lesson for messing around with my system late at night. Would simply uninstalling fetchmail work, or a way to configure it? I remember the YaST module having to install it so it shouldn't break my system by much.
rcfetchmail stop will halt it (as root, of course) for the present session. editing /etc/fetchmailrc and/or ~/.fetchmailrc and commenting out the sections concerning the mail you "do not want to receive" will allow fetchmail to run and not receive the mail you don't want. chkconfig fetchmail off will stop fetchmail from running at any time unless you reinable it rcfetchmail stop and rpm -e fetchmail will stop the service and remove it from your system ***** list mail should be on the list unless there is a specific reason for going off-list as other may benefit from your problem, resolution, description, methods...... -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
