Well i tried that and it seems to work apart from i can get no route out onto the net i get an external IP address and an internal IP but no route what have i missed are you aware of how the dns is setup is it automatic or have i got to enter them (cant find them right now for 3 althou i have seen them somewhere

Well to reply to my own message it now works but i have to enter the DNS by hand into /etc/resolv.conf i have knocked up a quick script to move verious forms of resolv.conf for the 3G connection all i need to do now is detect when the 3G dongle is unpluged and use that to reset the DNS for the connection here at home Cheers Pete . -- SuSE Linux 10.3-Alpha3.
