I have installed openSuSE 11.1, then I have recompiled the kernel and added a new entry to grub menu. From yast, I have changed the boot loader configuration so that my customized kernel was used at boot by default. But I was no longer able to boot in none of my OSs (windows or linux). Now I have manually changed the boot loader configuration (from /boot/grub/menu.lst) and all seems to be ok, but I wonder if using yast was the real problem which caused that the entire system to become unusable. If you have had similar issues please post on this list to see if it's indeed a bug.
