James, I am not sure how ssh -X Applies here. Think of a networked user(user-x) attempting to send an "un-solicited" message to another user(user-y). User-y is not going know he needs to configure the ssh before he gets the message.
On top of that it is nearly impossible for me to write this to use ssh due to the user not knowing he will get this message. There is also very little docs on how it is written, at least from the user end.
Perhaps I'm missing something, but it looks like you're trying to run some application, such as xeyes remotely. The only way I know to do that is via telnet or ssh. SSH -X opens a connection to the remote site and sets up the display for whatever app you want to use. Using SSH is also both more secure and easier than telnet. If you're trying to send a message, why are you messing around with X and applications, when there are message applications designed for what I think you're trying to do. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
