When I try to play a wav file in FireFox, it doesn't know how to play it. For example, I can look up a work on http://www.merriam-webster.com/ and try to listen to the pronunciation sample. FireFox won't play it unless I use the "Play this with your default audio player" link, which essentially downloads the file and opens it in RealPlayer. I know it's possible for this to work, it has worked from time to time in various SuSE installs I've used. Does anyone know what's needed?
