If you do not know how to work with archives you should use packages. Open YaST > pick Install/Remove software > search for thunderbird > click on the box in front of the package and install it.
Under *most* circumstances, even with knowledge of acrhive manipulation, those working with openSUSE *should* utilize the rpm package system since that is the basis for the openSUSE "way of doing things". Usage of the archive packages can contribute to grave system problems and even system failure. It is not a good *mix* for any less than *expert*. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
