Subject: Re: [opensuse] Yast Software Repository Crash? To: opensuse@opensuse.org Date: Saturday, November 8, 2008, 12:12 PM I cannot get an update to complete via yast. I executed: zypper up
It showed a similar error with primary.xml.gz but let me bypass it. An update occurred to zypper itself (I believe) and I received a message that the update system would have to be restarted as a result of the update. To be sure everything was done correctly I rebooted.
I am still unable to update or add:
a software repository.
If anyone's got any idea how to fix I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

Spends a long time downloading and then I get
error:
"There was an error in the repository
initialization.
'10.3': Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s) History: - Wrong checksum for
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.3/repo/oss as this primary.xml.gz"
I'm dead in the water with this 10.3 install.
issue is occurring on 2 separate machines using an install disk that I've previously installed 8 other servers.
Any ideas?
