: In another thread I mentioned that the video in Xine and Kaffeine are being affected by the openSUSE version of Firefox: if Firefox is running the video in both Xine and Kaffeine (I use both to view digital TV) is seriously affected with the video stuttering, halting, jumping while the audio is not affected. (See my thread, "Firefox, Xine and Kaffeine".)
Are you using the nvidia drivers? I have this problem and it seems to be an nvidia driver bug, it does not occur for me when using the nouveau drivers. It's also seems somewhat better with the 177.70 beta drivers.
Yes, I am using nVidia - but the driver comes from openSUSE, and only openSUSE via zypper. My installation of openSUSE 11.0 is strictly *all* openSUSE sourced with nothing coming from anywhere else - except packman for multimedia requirements. Firefox, Thunderbird, nVidia, OpenOffice, etc. are all coming from openSUSE repositories (except, as I stated, multi-media related files which are not available in openSUSE).
