What's happening is that the updater probably only checks for updates from the official openSUSE update repo, but YaST is checking updates to applications from all available repositories that you've subscribed to. However, the openSUSE Updater should have an option to check all repos (as I mentioned above)
Hi Kevin, Yes, you were partly correct. Thanks for helping me there! I didn't have the box "Show available upgrades when backend provides them (for experts only)" checked. Now I have this one checked and the updater lists 20 updates. Now the problem is: it doesn't update. I select all updates, click install, enter my root password and then...nothing happens.
