Listmates, I would like to repackage the pgcalc rpm with the latest source. The current suse rpm was packaged with "pgcalc2-2.2-6.tar.gz" as the source and the rpm is version 2.2-222.1. I have downloaded the current source of "pgcalc2-2.2-10.tar.gz". I also have the current .src.rpm which is "pgcalc-2.2-222.1.src.rpm" Can I simply install the .src.rpm, replace the source package in /usr/src/packages/SOURCES and the rebuild the rpm with rpmbuild --rebuild specfile? I know rpm concept of "pristine source" + patches, then build, but wouldn't just jumping ahead to the latest source work? -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
