I found something unusual today and I'd like to know how/why this is true with Linux and not MickySoft. If one uses the downloadhelper plugin for FireFox 3.01 and while at YouTube you save a video, which has an flv extension, to a wmv extension, the movie will play fine with any Linux video player. If someone using a flavor of 'Bloze does the same the OS sees the file as a flv format and nothing except RealPlayer will play the file.
Probably because the flv file is basically a container for the wmv file. Linux ignores the extra crap while Windows "protects" it's DRM. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
