I originally had grub installed in suse 11 and I installed another distro which wipped out suse 11 grub, now I can't boot suse 11.
I'm trying to install suse 11 grub to the MBR so I can boot suse 11and get the following errors:
linux-uwal:~ # grub
grub> root=(hd0,11) root=(hd0,11) ------^
I'm not sure if this is a typo or just a different syntax, but according to the info page the command should be grub> root (hd0,11) <=== No equal sign
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
but it seemed to work...
grub> setup (hd0) setup (hd0) Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... no Checking if "/grub/stage1" exists... no
Try grub> find /boot/grub/stage1 To see where grub 'thinks' it is. -- Don -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
