I'm running Opensuse 10.3 on an HP Compaq 8710w. It has a Quadro 1600M video card. If I go to yast2/Graphics Card and Monitor and try to setup up Dual Head/Clone Multi-head, all I get are blank screens on both monitors and I have to restart my laptop from ssh. I tried just a generic monitor 1024x768. Problem is both screens go blank.
I need to give a presentation next week and I'll need to connect to a projector. Any suggestions?
Are you using the nvidia binary driver? I *think* that is required for using more than one monitor. I would also recommend using the NVIDIA X server settings to set up the dual head display instead of YaST/sax2. You can find it under gecko -> System -> Configuration Again, I think you'll need the binary nvidia driver to have/use this. -- Don -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
