OpenSuSE 11.0, currently won't talk to wired or wireless networks. Unable to change or modify via YAST or Network Manager. I think I need to know what to delete to get this un-borked. Second, where to find more information on admin of networking in OpenSuse, 11.x. Third, what diagnostic info to collect to chase this down. - Did an upgrade from 10.3 to 11.0. Networking had some issues. By *not* using Network Manager it worked: found cards, out to net and so on. - Auto updater finds a bunch of updates, including Kernel and Network Manager. Do the updates. - Now it won't talk to the network at all, *and*, w or w/o network manager, *and* it won't let me change a thing. Can't modify, or even delete any network devices, via Network manager or YAST. Cards: - On-board LAN, in principle disabled. - PCI LAN card, this is what was working. - On-board Wifi, in principle disabled. I dual-boot into two OpenSuSE installations so I'm sending this via 10.3 on *exactly the same cards & machine* that 11.0 won't talk to, but did. Where to start? Found nothing like this in the forums, the mailing list archive, or with basic google-fu.
