I have a requirement to synchronize a (large) Windows directory with a Linux directory. Neither rsync nor rdiff-backup speak cifs. At least I don't think so. I searched the samba site and found nothing specific although there could be something buried in there. At this point, I'm faced with doing frequent manual transfers or with writing a script to do the transfer. (I've never written a real script.) If anyone has experience doing this or knows of a command that could be made to do this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
