I have a t61p running suse 10.3. I bought a dlink wireless N router to which I connect successfully but always via the G band. If I set the router to only provide N band connections I cannot connect. I'm using the ipw4965 driver.
iwl4965 :)
I've looked at the driver's source and I can see that there are several macros relating to high speed and they seem to get disabled because they aren't supported by the kernel. Has anyone got wireless N working on any level of Suse? If so how did you do it..
No, 11n does not work correctly with kernel version <= 2.6.25. 2.6.26 should have better 11n support. If you would like to try 2.6.26 you can find the current vanilla kernel in OBS at [1], repo at [2].
