On July 07 Thursday 10 2008, Lew Wolfgang scratched these words onto a coconut shell, hoping for an answer:
Hi Folks,
I'm contemplating my first 11.0 install on amd-64 and I'm wondering if the binary version of Virtualbox (with usb) works with 11.0. The Nvidia binary driver is also of concern. Does anyone have any experience with these packages? Any issues?
Thanks in advance, Lew
I have the binary nvidia running happily. It was installed w/o any probs by the installation system.. veddy nice.. even if I'm still not sold on thewobbly windows. There are other reasons to install the proprietary driver.. esp w/ flat panel screens.. the Samsung ones any way get kinda cranky w/o that nvidia driver.. Thanks to all who worked on the installation system especially.. it really is a surprise, and a wonderment.. installed everything I've needed so far,, kept all the settings I had and of course the saving of all your network settings, and hooking you back up.. I have yet to resort to my rather voluminous notes on putting a new version of Suse back to running all that it was before.. Kudos to all you guys, it's the easiest time I've had yet.. -- j We were born to follow our guiding star; and meet our destiny w/ glory -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
