Listmates, Looking at /etc/X11/xinitrc and xinitrc.common, what would be the difference if I set $WINDOWMANAGER to /usr/bin/kde or /usr/bin/startkde ? The question stems from the vnc session launching some of the kde4 desktop when I only have kde35 installed. I would like to find out how to properly launch the same things as the main desktop. So does that mean setting WINDOWMANAGER="/usr/bin/startkde" in my .xinitrc file, or do I have to set it somewhere else or could I simply set it, export it and restart kde? -- David C.
