I'll be sure to post anything I can come up with, but it looks like the Phoenix BIOS screws us from being able to use toshutils. I have tried manually creating the device to see if I can load the driver that way with:
Gee, I wonder why???? from the website which provides the linux versions of the toshiba utilities: third paragraph under "Introduction" on the front page The Toshiba Linux utilities are specific to Toshiba laptops, and will not run on laptops from other manufactures. In addition they will not run on Satellite 16xx, 17xx, 3000 and 35DVD machines from Toshiba either. These models sport Pheonix BIOS'es and are made in that part of China that is not part of China. In short they are not true Toshiba laptops and are unlikely to ever be supported by the Toshiba Linux Utilities. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
