I filed this at Bugzilla, but the only response was "works fine here" so it may be unique to my PC. Does anybody have any ideas on this problem: ----------------------------------------------
When I boot from the Live CD, I can't mount NTFS partitions. Here's what I see in sysinfo:
Disk Information
Device Filesystem Total space Available space Secondary ntfs 195.3 GB XP Main ntfs 100.0 GB SWISNIFE1 vfat 232.9 GB
All those details are correct, but although hovering over the volume label brings up a box that says "right-click for options like mount or eject", right-clicking does bring up those options, and the only volume I can access is the FAT one, a USB HDD.
I would not necessarily expect write access to ntfs partitions while running the Live Medium, but not having read access limits the opportunities and scope for testing the distro prior to installation. ----------------------------------------------
What about doing mount in a shell? It could be the ntfs driver was just omitted from the livecd. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
