There is quite a bit of consternation about amongst some people with regard to Thunderbird not being able to launch firefox from http links in email. See: http://readlist.com/lists/suse.com/suse-linux-e/27/139529.html (if your thunderbird will do that :) This cropped up for people who had thunderbird 1.5.x and had explicitly enabled
pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox"); pref(”network.protocol-handler.app.https”, “/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox”); pref(”network.protocol-handler.app.ftp”, “/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox”);
so that thunderbird 1.5 would launch firefox. When thunderbird got upgraded to 2.0.0.x this stopped working. I was frustrated by this but by experimenting I found that if I created a new "blank" profile the links started to work. I did difs between my new and old prefs.js files and incremntally eliminated the differences. The result is that I removed all the network.protocol-handler.app entries from my original prefs.js file and viola! http links work again. So the cure for 1.5 is a sickness for 2.0 :( Spread the word.... wcn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
