Hi all,
Overnight I received 4 bounced mail messages saying email was delayed (specifically, delivery status notification delay). I thought it was spam, but they actually contain messages of 4 posts I made to the list yesterday. Why would mail sent to this list bounce back to my email address?
They are from postmaster@bcilabs.org, referencing address opensuse@bcilabs.org
I searched the list archives and find no references to bcilabs.
There's a new idiot every day, that's why you haven't found them. I also rejected 4 mails from that server (74.95.157.129 HELO:exch2003.bcilabs.net). Most probably they accepted mails for a recipient that doesn't exist any more and then bounce them back to the header sender address, typical Microsoft crap. Especially for that reason I configured a restriction class that rejects mails to my list address if they didn't origin from the listserver. Great against address harvester spammers and clueless postmasters. -- Sandy List replies only please!
