Hi! Cannot get my Wifi card properly working on my DEll Latitude C400. It is a Linksys Wireless-G WPC54G vers 3.1 card for the pcmcia slot. I checked the Syslink driver .inf in Windows - which shows a bcm43xx driver to be probably right. I sometimes get the system to work sometimes not. If I have connected, it drops the connection after a while of surfing, then impossible to reconnect, recognise the card etc. Card etc works fine in Windows XP! iwconfig sometimes sets the essid, sometimes not. See sequence example below. One such test was as follows, no encryption set on wlan access point: start up linux root session in terminal iwconfig - shows no wlan plug in the card iwconfig - shows eth1 as below iwconfig eth1 essid Myessid ifconfig eth1 up 192.168.0.12 iwconfig - confirms settings start Knetworkmanager login to Myessid - works fine for a littele while, then disconnects cannot get it working again, using Yast, terminal etc... then I try again on another day, maybe with success, maybe not. Currently no successes whatsoever. All very mystifying - how can I systematically reintroduce this WLAN to my pc again and diagnose problems? In other words, how can I set everything back in the Linux installation to no configurations whatsoever and restart the installation of the wlan configurations?
