Hello, I've re-installed openSuse 10.3 on my new laptop to have an encrypted root partition (after my first try following http://en.opensuse.org/Encrypted_Root_File_System_with_SUSE_HOWTO failed). So I started with a fresh install. So far it worked with encrypting the root- and the swap partition, but there remain some questions: a) I am not asked for the password at boot, instead the boot process just stops after some usb-messages and "configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice". Then I have to hit enter, and then "enter LUKS passphrase" appears where I can enter it. It then finally boots correct. b) The partitioner in Yast shows swap as unmounted, although "free" says that swap is running. I can also use swapoff /dev/mapper/swap and swapon successfully. Allthough these are probably minor problems, I guess that they point to the fact that my setup is not perfect yet. Can you help me any further? If you need additional infos, I'll try to provide it. thanks, Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Switzerland professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com erotic art photos: http://www.bauer-nudes.com/en/linux.html Madagascar special: http://www.fotograf-basel.ch/madagascar/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
